Spain between the 4 best countries to live and work in for expats

The survey that the British bank HSBC carries out each year puts Spain in fourth place in the ranking of the best countries in the world to live and work in according to expats. Spain rises 10 positions in the list and manages to overtake New Zealand, which last year boasted second place.

In this issue of the study, Switzerland, Singapore and Canada occupy the podium of honour, while in previous years the top three countries have been Singapore, New Zealand and Germany.

Amongst the countries included in the list the rising movements of some stand out. As well as the 14 positions that Spain climbed, to note are the eight positions Switzerland climbed, the four positions that Canada has gained and the 24 that Turkey has achieved; this year it is in seventh place. Poland has improved by 25 positions, while Ireland has added 18 and the Isle of Man appears in the classification for the first time.

To reach these conclusions, the survey analyses variables such as climatequality of lifepolitical stability, safety, salary, opportunities for professional development, quality of the education system or ease of adaption. Also, that in which Spain stands out are the fields of safety, quality of life and climate. However, we have poorer scores in earning a good salary and ease of developing your professional career.
