Youngster represents Marbella in Junior MasterChef Spain

Generally speaking, when a particular TV reality show becomes popular in one country, so it works well in other countries thus we have seen the success of Strictly Come Dancing, Britain’s Got Talent, Dragons Den and many more.

When you add food and youngsters to the successful MasterChef format then you are guaranteed a winner and MasterChef Junior is now in its seventh series here in Spain.

It generally follows the same rules as in the UK but one of the contestants, 12-year-old Leo Schultz hails from Marbella and has attracted quite a lot of interest with more than 20,000 followers on his Instagram account.

According to the young chef, he discovered his love for cooking at the age of seven as he started helping his grandparents in the kitchen and says that he loves to cook dishes with a seafood flavour as he eventually wants to become a marine biologist.

His favourite dish is Tom Yum soup, a Thai soup made from coconut milk and prawns and the most difficult he has cooked so far is salmon Tataki with yogurt and lemon jelly spherification.
