Marbella Golf and Country Club

marbella golf and country club

Marbella Golf & Country Club is located in the heart of the Costa del Sol, just 5 minutes away from the cosmopolitan town of Marbella. It is considered to be one of the top golf courses in Spain as well as one of the most challenging.

The course was designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Senior in the late 80´s and occupying one of the largest remaining green areas on the Costa del Sol, the 6,000 metre long 18-hole links course with a par of 72, has been imaginatively designed to respect the natural terrain and make the most of the spectacular Mediterranean backdrop.

Each hole is unique, although the 9th hole in particular, with the addition of several lakes and bunkers, promises to challenge even the most skilful golfer.

Numerous bunkers and lakes are placed cleverly and have to be successfully negotiated to achieve a descent score. Blending in perfectly with the lush surroundings, green hills and olive trees, the course is a joy to play making it a perfect golfing holiday.
